Finca San Pedro Sustainable Farm Stay - Terms & Conditions 2026
General
This is a legally binding contract between the property owner, Carolina Wackerhagen, and the person booking the sustainable farm stay. The property owner is also referred to as "we" and "us".
The person booking the sustainable farm stay is the person who signs the booking form, or makes the bank transfer. This person is responsible for ensuring all members for whom the booking is made, accept and adhere to these terms and conditions. The person booking the sustainable farm stay is also referred to as “you”.
1. Booking
(a) The booking is taken on a provisional basis until a deposit of 20 % has been paid in full and you have agreed to these terms and conditions.
(b) We do not share customer details with third parties and don’t store your details other than for the management and booking of the sustainable farm stay.
2. Payment
The total amount of the booking is due 30 days before the sustainable farm stay by bank transfer. Bookings made less than 30 days before the arrival date must be paid in full at the time of booking.
3. Your Travel
All travel arrangements are your responsibility and at your own cost. We shall not be held liable for any consequences arising from delays or cancellations in any of the companies you may have made arrangements with or for any irregularities in your documentation required for travel.
4. Sickness
Medical costs are your responsibility. We are in no way responsible for any infectious diseases you may contract. In the event of an emergency, lockdown, or situation where it is against the law to travel to the accommodation, we will refund your payment.
If you need to cancel a retreat due to illness, we will transfer your deposit to another stay.
5. Dietary requirements
Please advise us of any dietary requirements before you book.
6. Cancellation by you
(a) Cancellation of the booking should be made in writing and addressed to: info@finca-san-pedro.com
(b) All deposits are non-refundable. If you cancel your booking for personal reasons, we will retain your deposit.
(c) Bookings are for the stated period of the sustainable farm stay. There are no refunds for any unused portion of the stay. We strongly recommend you to take out trip cancellation insurance. If the reason for cancellation is covered under the terms of your insurance policy, you may be able to claim on your insurance.
7. Cancellation by us
We endeavour to make sure the sustainable farm stay is possible for the dates contracted. However, we reserve the right, in any circumstances, to cancel a stay.
If a sustainable farm stay is cancelled by us, we will refund you in full. We are only liable to return the monies received. No compensation or consequential loss shall be paid.
8. Pets
Pets are not allowed on the property.
9. Liability
(a) We take no responsibility for your personal possessions or those of your party. Vehicles and possessions are left entirely at your risk.
(b) We do not accept any liability for cancellations, delays, or changes caused by war, the threat of war, terrorist actions or threats, closure of airports, civil strife, industrial action, natural disaster, technical problems with transport, staff cancellations, unforeseen changes in your personal circumstances or other events beyond our control.
10. Cleaning & Breakage
(a) We reserve the right to make an additional charge for cleaning should the property not be left in a similar condition to the way it was found at the start of the stay.
(b) You should make every effort to keep the property, fixtures and fittings and all contents in the same state of repair and condition as at the start of your stay. Any accidental damage or breakages should be reported to us prior to departure. We retain the right to make an additional charge for damage and breakages although it should be noted that minor breakages and reasonable wear and tear (in the opinion of the property owner) will not be charged for.
11. Complaints
(a) Every endeavour is made to ensure your stay with us is memorable for all the right reasons. However, we do recognise that from to time things do go wrong. In these circumstances, it is your responsibility to make any such problem known to us as soon as it becomes apparent, thereby giving us the opportunity to correct the situation. Unless this procedure is followed, no subsequent claim will be entertained.
(b) We will make every endeavour to rectify any identified problems as soon as is reasonably possible.
(c) Please note that we cannot be responsible for the individual behaviour of any group member or other guest sharing your accommodation.
12. Misccellaneous
(a) Whilst every care is taken to provide a true and accurate description of the property and stay, over time, alterations are made and some things do change. You accept that no refunds are available for such discrepancies.
(b) We reserve the right to enter the property, at a reasonable time, in the event of an emergency or remedial repair work being required.
(c) We are entitled to ask you to leave the property without any refund if, in our opinion, your behaviour and/or your party is unacceptable.
(d) We reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone, who in our opinion is not suitable to or capable of taking charge of the property.
